DISCLAIMER

Important limitations that apply to Dorm Butler information, services, and the website.

Effective September 9, 2026

Last Updated October 1, 2026

1. PURPOSE OF THIS DISCLAIMER

This Disclaimer explains important limitations and conditions that apply to information provided by Dorm Butler and to the use of the Dorm Butler website and services.

Dorm Butler provides laundry services and Butler services for eligible customers. While we make reasonable efforts to provide a reliable, organized, and convenient customer experience, certain aspects of our services depend on customer-provided information, item condition, availability, campus and residence requirements, third party systems, and circumstances outside our control.

This Disclaimer should be read together with the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Service Policies, Cancellation and Refund Policy, and SMS and Text Messaging Terms, as applicable.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION

Information presented on the Dorm Butler website is provided for general informational and service-related purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, but service descriptions, availability, pickup and return schedules, pricing, package options, service areas, eligibility requirements, and other website information may change.

The appearance of information on the website does not guarantee that a particular service, package, date, location, time, item, or request will be available.

Customers should rely on the specific information provided during the applicable booking, purchase, quote, account, or service process.

3. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

Dorm Butler does not guarantee that every service will be available to every customer at every time.

Availability may depend on:

• Campus location

• Service area

• Semester schedule

• Pickup and return routes

• Capacity

• Staffing

• Customer eligibility

• Advance planning requirements

• Requested service scope

• Campus or residence requirements

• Third party availability

• Safety considerations

• Other operational circumstances

A service appearing on the website does not necessarily mean that the service is currently available for a particular customer, campus, date, or request.

4. PICKUP AND RETURN TIMES

Laundry pickup and return schedules are subject to the applicable campus schedule, customer account information, service route, and other operational circumstances.

A stated pickup or return day or window should not be interpreted as a guarantee that an item will be collected or returned at an exact time.

Customers are responsible for making items available at the approved pickup location and within the applicable pickup window.

Circumstances including access restrictions, weather, transportation issues, campus conditions, staffing issues, or other events may affect timing.

Applicable service policies and account information control when specific pickup or return requirements apply.

5. LAUNDRY CARE AND ITEM CONDITION

Laundry results can vary depending on the material, construction, age, condition, previous treatment, care instructions, dyes, finishes, stains, contamination, and other characteristics of an item.

Dorm Butler does not guarantee that every stain, odor, discoloration, mark, wrinkle, or other condition will be completely removed or corrected.

Normal laundering may not produce the same result for every item.

Items that are already worn, damaged, weakened, faded, stretched, shrunken, stained, discolored, improperly cared for, or otherwise compromised may not respond to laundering as expected.

Laundry care instructions provided by the customer must be accurate and complete.

Customers are responsible for identifying items that require special handling and providing relevant instructions before service.

6. CARE LABELS AND SPECIAL HANDLING

Dorm Butler may rely on manufacturer care labels and customer-provided instructions when determining appropriate laundry handling.

Items without readable care information, items with conflicting instructions, or items requiring specialized treatment may present additional limitations.

Dorm Butler may determine that a requested method of cleaning or handling is not appropriate for a particular item.

Special handling requests are subject to review, availability, safety considerations, and the applicable service terms.

A customer request does not guarantee that Dorm Butler will use a particular treatment or process.

7. STAINS, ODORS, DAMAGE, AND OTHER EXISTING CONDITIONS

Dorm Butler does not guarantee removal of stains, odors, discoloration, residue, or other conditions that existed before pickup.

Previous washing, drying, chemical exposure, storage conditions, wear, age, improper care, or other prior treatment may affect an item’s condition and its response to additional laundering.

Some conditions may become more noticeable after cleaning.

Customers should not assume that laundering will restore an item to its original condition.

8. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR POCKETS AND PERSONAL ITEMS

Customers are responsible for checking pockets and removing personal property before laundry is provided to Dorm Butler.

Customers should remove money, identification, electronics, keys, jewelry, medications, documents, cards, accessories, and other personal property that should not be included with laundry.

Dorm Butler is not responsible for personal property that a customer leaves inside a garment or laundry item when the property should have been removed before pickup, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided in the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions.

9. PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED ITEMS

Customers are responsible for reviewing the Dorm Butler requirements regarding prohibited and restricted items before submitting laundry or requesting a Butler service.

Dorm Butler may decline, remove, isolate, return, or otherwise address an item that presents a safety, legal, contamination, handling, transportation, or service concern.

Customers should not submit prohibited items or items that they know require handling outside the scope of the requested service.

The Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions and Service Policies contain additional requirements regarding prohibited and restricted items.

10. CUSTOMER-PROVIDED INFORMATION

Dorm Butler relies on customers to provide accurate and complete information when creating accounts, submitting requests, providing service instructions, identifying items, selecting services, and communicating with Dorm Butler.

Dorm Butler is not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information provided by a customer.

Customers are responsible for reviewing information associated with their account and service requests and notifying Dorm Butler when a correction is needed.

11. CUSTOMER PROPERTY

Customers remain responsible for identifying and safeguarding personal property that is not intended to be included in a Dorm Butler service.

Customers should not provide Dorm Butler with property that is unrelated to the requested service.

Dorm Butler may rely on the customer’s identification of items, bags, containers, instructions, and other property submitted for service.

Additional provisions concerning customer property, claims, loss, damage, and service concerns are addressed in the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions.

12. BUTLER SERVICES

Dorm Butler Butler services are subject to the scope, availability, requirements, and limitations communicated for the applicable service.

A Butler request does not automatically create an obligation for Dorm Butler to perform every requested task.

Requests may be reviewed for:

• Scope

• Safety

• Availability

• Timing

• Location

• Cost

• Campus or residence requirements

• Legal or operational limitations

• Other circumstances relevant to the request

Dorm Butler may decline a request that falls outside the available service scope or that cannot reasonably be completed under the circumstances.

13. ERRAND SERVICES

Errand services are limited to tasks that Dorm Butler has agreed to perform.

Availability, timing, purchasing requirements, location, transportation, item availability, store or vendor policies, and other circumstances may affect an errand.

Dorm Butler does not guarantee that a requested product, item, location, appointment, vendor, or service will be available.

Where purchasing is involved, the customer may be responsible for applicable purchase costs, fees, deposits, or other charges communicated before the purchase or service proceeds.

Dorm Butler may decline errands involving prohibited, unsafe, unlawful, age-restricted, or otherwise inappropriate items or activities.

14. BIRTHDAY AND EVENT SERVICES

Birthday and event services require planning and may be subject to advance notice, availability, location requirements, purchasing limitations, customer preferences, campus rules, and other conditions.

A birthday or event request is not confirmed until Dorm Butler has accepted the request and communicated the applicable service details.

Requested decorations, products, food, gifts, delivery locations, timing, or other components may be subject to availability.

Dorm Butler may offer substitutions when an originally requested item is unavailable, subject to the applicable service terms and customer approval when required.

Dorm Butler does not guarantee that every requested product, decoration, vendor, location, or event element will be available.

15. QUOTES, PRICING, AND SERVICE SCOPE

Where Dorm Butler provides a quote for a requested service, the quote is based on the information available to Dorm Butler at the time it is prepared.

A quote may depend on the scope of work, requested items, location, timing, availability, purchasing requirements, and other information.

A quote does not guarantee that circumstances will remain unchanged before the service is accepted or performed.

If the requested scope changes, Dorm Butler may provide an updated quote before additional work proceeds.

Applicable pricing, payment, cancellation, and refund terms are addressed in the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions and Cancellation and Refund Policy.

16. AVAILABILITY OF PRODUCTS AND THIRD PARTY SERVICES

Dorm Butler may rely on products, vendors, stores, transportation providers, technology providers, payment systems, campus resources, or other third parties when performing certain services.

Dorm Butler does not control the inventory, pricing, policies, schedules, service quality, availability, or conduct of independent third parties.

If a requested item or service is unavailable, Dorm Butler may communicate the limitation and, where appropriate, discuss an alternative.

Third party availability does not create a guarantee by Dorm Butler that a particular product, vendor, location, or service will be available.

17. CAMPUS AND RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS

Dorm Butler services may take place on or around college campuses, residence halls, student housing, designated pickup locations, event spaces, and other locations controlled by third parties.

Dorm Butler must follow applicable access requirements, campus policies, residence policies, building rules, designated pickup and delivery locations, and other applicable requirements.

Dorm Butler cannot guarantee access to a particular building, residence hall, room, elevator, parking area, event space, or other location that Dorm Butler does not control.

If campus or residence requirements affect a service, Dorm Butler may need to change the pickup point, delivery point, timing, method, or scope of the service.

18. WEATHER, ACCESS, AND EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Service timing or availability may be affected by circumstances outside Dorm Butler’s reasonable control.

Examples may include:

• Severe weather

• Natural disasters

• Transportation disruptions

• Campus closures

• Building closures

• Emergency conditions

• Utility interruptions

• Technology outages

• Third party service interruptions

• Public safety restrictions

• Government actions

• Unexpected access restrictions

• Other circumstances that materially interfere with service operations

When circumstances outside our control affect a service, Dorm Butler may adjust timing, pickup or return arrangements, service scope, or other operational details as appropriate.

19. WEBSITE AND TECHNOLOGY

Dorm Butler aims to provide a reliable website and digital customer experience, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, operating system, or third party technology.

Website features may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, security measures, service provider interruptions, or other circumstances.

Dorm Butler may modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue website features or digital services as necessary.

20. WEBSITE CONTENT

Website content is provided to help customers understand Dorm Butler and its services.

Photographs, graphics, examples, descriptions, service illustrations, promotional materials, and other visual or written content may be illustrative.

Actual service results, products, colors, arrangements, availability, timing, packaging, or other details may vary.

The website should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a particular result, appearance, product, service configuration, or experience will be available.

21. THIRD PARTY LINKS AND CONTENT

The Dorm Butler website may contain links to websites, platforms, resources, or services operated by third parties.

Third party websites and services are not controlled by Dorm Butler.

Dorm Butler is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, security, accessibility, accuracy, policies, or practices of third party websites or services.

A link to a third party website does not necessarily mean that Dorm Butler endorses or guarantees that third party.

Customers should review the applicable third party terms and policies before using a third party service.

22. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

Information provided through the Dorm Butler website, communications, or services is not intended to constitute legal, medical, financial, tax, academic, counseling, security, or other professional advice.

Customers should consult an appropriately qualified professional when professional advice is necessary.

Dorm Butler’s services are intended to provide convenience and assistance within the scope of the services offered and accepted.

23. CUSTOMER DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers remain responsible for decisions concerning their personal property, laundry items, service requests, purchases, schedules, locations, and other matters under their control.

Customers are responsible for reviewing service information before purchasing or requesting a service and for communicating information that Dorm Butler reasonably needs to perform the requested service.

Dorm Butler cannot anticipate every condition associated with a customer’s property, campus environment, schedule, or individual circumstances.

24. SERVICE RESULTS

Dorm Butler will make reasonable efforts to perform accepted services according to the applicable service description and customer instructions.

However, results may vary because of factors that cannot always be identified or controlled before service begins.

No description of a service should be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular result unless Dorm Butler has expressly provided such a guarantee in writing.

25. CLAIMS AND SERVICE CONCERNS

If a customer believes an item, service, order, or request has a problem, the customer should contact Dorm Butler promptly.

Providing relevant information, including the order, item, service, or request involved and a description of the concern, can help Dorm Butler review the situation.

Claims, loss, damage, quality concerns, and available remedies are governed by the applicable provisions of the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions and Service Policies.

Nothing in this Disclaimer eliminates or changes any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited.

26. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER DORM BUTLER POLICIES

This Disclaimer is intended to explain general limitations associated with the Dorm Butler website, services, and customer experience.

It does not replace the Dorm Butler Terms and Conditions.

If another Dorm Butler policy contains a specific rule governing a particular subject, the applicable policy should be reviewed for that subject.

27. NO GUARANTEE OF UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE

Dorm Butler does not guarantee that any website feature, service, pickup, return, errand, birthday service, event service, laundry service, communication method, or other offering will always be available without interruption.

Service availability may change because of capacity, scheduling, campus conditions, customer circumstances, technology, third party availability, or other operational considerations.

28. CHANGES TO THIS DISCLAIMER

Dorm Butler may update this Disclaimer as our services, website, technology, policies, or operations change.

When this Disclaimer is updated, the revised version may be posted on the Dorm Butler website with an updated effective date or last updated date.
